Affordable Finds: Moisturizing Body Lotions

Affordable Finds

I have a few staple personal care items that I tend to buy a bit in bulk from Amazon. This keeps me from running out or even having to think much about whether I need to add it to my Target list. Once I realize I like a product and want to introduce it to my daily life, I like to see if it’s available for a good price online, so I can stock up. Two main items I do this with are bubble bath and body lotions. There are a few moisturizing body lotions I like to keep around the house, most of which are available on Amazon with Prime shipping.

Moisturizing Body Lotions

Now that summer is over and winter is approaching, moisturizers are becoming even more important in daily life. While this may be especially true for one’s face, dry hands and feet can also be an issue. Most of my favorite body lotions are either unscented or super mildly scented, making them ideal for morning or night, regardless of whether I’m putting perfume on or not.

Aveeno Lotion Options

Aveeno’s moisturizing body lotions are a go-to of mine. They’re mild and super gentle on the skin; regardless of which variety I pick up, I generally know how my skin will react. The Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion, probably my all-time favorite, is fragrance-free and pretty light, while still being effective. If you’re open to a scented option, check out the Aveeno Stress Relief Moisturizing Body Lotion, which has a lovely lavender scent.

Aloe and Herbaceous Varieties

Vaseline’s Prime options on Amazon leave a little to be desired; most of their Prime-eligible lotions come in large multipacks, so if you want to try one out first, maybe pick it up at the grocery store or Target first. Regardless, I wanted to include it here because it is a favorite of mine. Their Intensive Care Aloe Soothe moisturizer is almost like using a water-based facial moisturizer (like my favorite Youth to the People moisturizer) as a body lotion.

Bliss’ Lemon & Sage Body Butter is just amazing. It feels like a whipped lotion, almost, but is still pretty concentrated and moisturizing. The tube lasts for a long time, making the $9 price point even more appealing. Like my Aveeno favorites, this Bliss option is not greasy in the least. I love using it all over, particularly after shaving my legs. If you want something with a bit more of a scent, this is a great option.

Treat Yourself Ideas: L’Occitane Favorites

I pretty much love every L’Occitane product I come across, and was excited when I realized a lot of my favorites were available on Amazon through their Luxury Beauty section. While these are definitely pricier than the Aveeno options described above, they’re not too bad if you’re looking for a more luxurious experience. The L’Occitane Verbena Body Lotion features moisturizing grape-seed oil and organic verbena, which I find to be a great, fresh scent. You can’t go wrong with the L’Occitane Moisturizing 25% Shea Butter Ultra-Rich Body Cream, though. This is the pricier of the two L’Occitane options I included here, but a little goes a long way, especially if you save it for your more troublesome spots, like hands, elbows, and feet.
