Bloomingdale’s Private Sale

Officially starting next week, the Bloomingdale’s Private Sale is offering $25 off of every $100 spent on a huge selection of regular-priced items from 11/11 to 11/17.

For Bloomingdale’s Loyallists, the Private Sale starts early. So, if you have a Loyallist account, you can get the $25 off $100 deal starting on 11/8! If you haven’t signed up to be a Loyallist, I personally recommend it; the program is free and gives you a bunch of great perks throughout the year.

At the same time, there are a ton of great deals on sale items that are sure to make your holiday shopping — and personal shopping, because treat yo’ self — easier.

Favorites Under $100

In anticipation of Bloomingdale’s upcoming private sale, I decided to put together a shopping guide of some of the greatest pieces I found, each under $100. These pieces are a great mix of classic year-round staples and fun seasonal finds. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or getting into gear for the holidays, there’s sure to be something you like here.

Bloomingdale’s Exclusive Pieces under $100

I love shopping exclusive pieces at department stores, and Bloomingdale’s tends to have a great selection of specialty pieces you can’t find elsewhere. Lately, I’ve been really drawn to sweaters — probably because Florida is a bit delayed in getting into any sort of winter at the moment. Line & Dot’s funnel-neck sweater has billowy sleeves with banded cuffs; the classic-yet-unique design, combined with the baby blue color, is great for if you want something subtle but still unique. For a bolder option, the Vintage Havana color-blocked sweatshirt will keep you cozy and cool any day. I love a great oversized cardigan, like this white AQUA option, or a cozy hoodie. As a huge tartan and plaid fan, AQUA’s plaid hooded sweatshirt is really calling my name.

ONE – TWO – THREE – FOUR – FIVE

Besides sweaters and outerwear, Bloomingdale’s has a number of great lighter layers either on sale currently or included in the Private Sale. I’ve written before about how much I love Ted Baker’s t-shirts, and this oxblood logo tee is no exception to that rule. It’s currently on sale for $55, down from $79, making it even more tempting. For something more casual, though, Wildfox’s No. 9 Bubble Bath Tee personifies the perfect night in.

If you’re looking for dressier options or an outfit for holiday parties, I’d recommend checking out the Velvet by Graham & Spencer sleeveless top — great for layering — and the Vince Camuto plaid pleated midi skirt. The Velvet brand tops are simple in their design, yet so flattering, with a looser silhouette that could be easily tucked into a skirt or worn with jeans or pants and a French tuck. AQUA’s burgundy velvet top is calling my name for the holidays; it’s a crop top, technically, but doesn’t seem to be too cropped, making me think it’d be perfect for a shorter frame.

Great Tops and Skirts Under $100

Beyond the Ted Baker and Wildfox t-shirts above, there are a number of great Cinq à Sept tees available, including the My Darling graphic tee. Besides Cinq à Sept, ALEXANDERWANG.T and Anine Bing have some great options, like this snakeskin printed tee. Whether you pair them with shorts in the summer or with jeans in the fall or winter, great tees will carry you through the year.

I’m totally drawn to plaid skirts this season, especially this French Connection option. Pair a sweet and simple skirt with a fun graphic tee or a dressier top, like the subtly-shimmery Fore top pictured here, and you’re all set for a night out.

Great Accessories Under $100

I was really impressed with the number of great accessories available under $100. The jewelry selection under $100 was particularly impressive. For example, Ralph Lauren has a pair of really sweet little pave hoops for just $22. For a wilder pair, try the Baublebar star drop earrings, on sale for $26.60 (pictured below). I didn’t realize Allsaints had such great jewelry, either, and I find myself continuing to look back at the Knot Twist Ring. This ring is so simple and elegant, all for just $40! It comes in silver and gold.

The accessories section is where I think you’ll find some great holiday gifts. For example, the Barbour tartan wrap and the Baublebar sparkly hair clip pictured above would be great gifts for some of the women in your life. (Please, someone buy the Barbour tartan wrap for me so I can live vicariously through you, as it is beautiful but Florida is still 90 degrees out.) Overall, these are fun pieces that people might not necessarily splurge on for themselves. I think I’m going to pick up a few packs of the Slip silk scrunchies to give out this year either in packs of three or individually in gifts!
