Cat Mom Life: Spotlight on Miko’s Whole Ingredient Cat Food

Miko’s Whole Ingredient Cat Food

Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they need high quality meat in their diets in order to thrive. Relatedly, it is also important for cats to consume enough water in their diets. An easy way to promote water consumption is to feed kitties high quality wet foods. Miko’s whole ingredient cat food recipes cover both of these bases, providing well-rounded nutrition in an affordable 12-can cases of 3 ounce cans.

Why This Wet Food Rocks

My cats typically like pates or thicker minced options (a la Weruva) for their primary wet food. However, they took to the shredded chicken and fish consommé recipes in the poultry and tuna variety pack right away. The 3 ounce cans don’t go too far, since there is a lot of liquid in them. Still, I was able to get two servings out of each comfortably.

The various recipes of Miko wet cat food contain no artificial colors, animal by-products, or anonymous meats. The gourmet cat food recipes are grain free and have added vitamins, minerals and taurine. Taurine is an important amino acid that promotes feline heart and vision health. Between the high quality proteins and the additional water in the recipe, Miko foods are designed to keep cats happy, healthy, and hydrated.

Great Value for the Price

The fact that I wound up going through more cans at a time was offset by the price, however. The poultry and tuna variety pack — the kind I was originally gifted and then bought for my cats — costs $12.99 for a case of 12 cans from Chewy. With the auto ship discount, if you choose to add these to a Chewy auto ship, the price per case is $12.34. Not too bad for high quality ingredients and delightful flavors.
