The Best Fall Decor

The leaves are (theoretically) changing color, pumpkins are popping up everywhere, and Halloween is just around the corner. It’s time to start thinking about creating a spooky yet cozy atmosphere for trick-or-treating and other fun festivities! Here, I’m sharing the best fall decor ideas for your home:

Simple Ways to Decorate Your Home for Fall

Fall Decor Ideas for Home Entertainment

While it’s not always practical to get a full service set of seasonal kitchenware or serving plates, I’ve found a number of great pieces that stand alone. The Le Creuset Stoneware Pumpkin Baker, for example, is decorative, functional, and subtle. Leave it on the counter between uses to add a hint of pumpkin to the area. Similarly, something like this little pumpkin bowl (part of the serving collection in the top left of the image below) could be a great coffee table addition!

I wanted to share a few favorite coffee mug picks, as fall is the season of all things cozy and comfy. These mugs could easily be filed under the “cozy fall decor” section, especially the simple Sweater Weather Coffee Mug (my favorite!).

Bring Out The Autumn Colors

Create an immersive fall home scene with earthy, autumnal colors. From rich woods to jewel tones, fall is the season of falling leaves, blue skies, and the last bits of evergreen until winter. I love the idea of accessorizing for color with these beautiful Voluspa Spiced Pumpkin candles; it’s a win-win since it also adds a gorgeous scent to the home at the same time.

Opt for Cozy Fall Decor

Like with autumn colors and natural textures, cozy fall decor plays off of simple, seasonal nostalgia. Think cottagecore mixed with Gilmore Girls and you have what I was going for here. You can never have too many pumpkins as autumn house decor, but I love the addition of cute little felted acorns to add texture and variety.

Create a Rustic Farmhouse Fall Decor Look with Natural Materials

If you’re looking for a rustic feel without spending a fortune, consider using natural materials such as wood, stone, and brick. These materials will add warmth and character to any room. You can also use them to create unique accents throughout your home.

Update Your Living Room with Fall Mantle Decor & More

You might think that adding pumpkins to your living room would be a bit too much, but there’s no reason why you can’t add them to your space. They make a nice addition to any room, especially when you use them as centerpieces.

Outfit Your Porch with Outdoor Fall Decor

Last but not least, don’t forget the front porch! Adding a cute doormat is one of the simplest ways to add a bit of festive fall to your home. Whether you opt for a more farmhouse themed design or a sleeker, more modern option, these little welcome mats are sure to make you smile.

Bottom Row: Pumpkin Harvest Doormat | Ginko Leaf and Berry Wreath Hanger | Woodland Fox Doormat

Beyond doormats, though, I love to accessorize the home with wreaths. Even when I was in an apartment, I typically had seasonal wreaths I would put out. If you’re feeling crafty, you can make your own, which is always fun. If you’d rather get one pre-made, I am loving each of the options pictured here, and I have a few more favorite front door wreath designs listed here.
