Hask Hair Products: Affordable Clean Beauty Hair Care

Why Try Hask Hair Products

As far as hair care goes, it’s hard to find quality products that are affordable, color-safe, clean beauty, and cruelty free. Hask Hair Products are all three. Leaping Bunny certified and free of blacklisted beauty ingredients, Hask’s shampoo and conditioner sets come in a variety of formulas designed for different hair concerns. Many of the formulas are even vegan, too, including my favorite Charcoal and Citrus line.

Hask Hair Care Formulas I’ve Tried

I’ve been a fan of the Purifying Charcoal with Citrus Oil formula for some time now. Recently, I tried the Thickening Biotin Boost and Invigorating Tea Tree Oil & Rosemary blends. While the Purifying line is still my favorite, I was impressed with the Thickening and Invigorating options as well.

The best part about all three? Shampoo and conditioner sets of each are only $14.95 on Amazon. If you’re looking to try both the shampoo and conditioner of any of the lines listed below, I recommend buying the set from Amazon. This brand is incredibly affordable and generally easy to find, making it a popular favorite for all kinds of hairstyles.

My Favorite:
Hask Hair Care’s Purifying Charcoal with Citrus Oil Shampooo & Conditioner

*Note: As of April 2023, it seems that this line is currently unavailable except for as a dry shampoo*

This Purifying set was the first Hask product I tried. As far as Hask hair products go, it remains my favorite to this day. As it is a charcoal clarifying shampoo, I limit my use of it to once a week or so. Even still, it feels super nourishing — so much so that I think I could almost use it more often.

The scent in this set is lovely, a light citrus that is not overpowering in the least. A little goes a long way, as well, as this formula is easy to disperse through the hair.

Whether you blow dry your hair or let it air dry, this set really boosts softness in my experience. If you’re looking for a great shampoo and conditioner set to help clear out build up on your roots and keep your hair shiny and soft, I highly recommend giving the Hask Purifying Shampoo & Conditioner set a try.

The Purifying Hask Shampoo and Conditioner is available at Amazon, Ulta, and Walmart.

Hask Hair Products For Thinner Hair:
Hask’s Thickening Biotin Boost Shampoo & Conditioner

I have thin hair — a lot of it, but it’s thin — and regularly take biotin anyway. Between having (1) dark hair, (2) long hair, and (3) thin hair, I do find I lose a lot in the shower (and around the apartment…). So, I figured I’d give the Hask Thickening Biotin Boost Shampoo and Conditioner set a try.

My understanding is that biotin shampoos are designed for the management of hair loss. This is the only one I’ve tried, and while I can’t say I’ve noticed my hair growing quicker or anything, the Hask biotin shampoo is a great volumizing option. Even with just brushing my hair out and letting it air dry or dry in a braid, I’ve found the Hask Thickening line gives my hair effortless volume.

All that being said, it does have a pretty strong floral scent, which is not my favorite.

If you have thin or fine hair and are looking for a volumizing shampoo and conditioner set that may also help strengthen the hair, this set is a great option.

Hask Hair Products For a Deep Cleaning Feeling:
Hask’s Invigorating Shampoo & Conditioner with Tea Tree Oil & Rosemary

I’ve long been a fan of the Paul Mitchell tea tree oil hair products line, so I was interested to try Hask’s tea tree shampoo and conditioner.

In all, I think the Hask Invigorating formula is a pretty good dupe for the Paul Mitchell tea tree line. This Hask shampoo and conditioner set has a gorgeous herbaceous scent and provides a bit of the tingly sensation that one expects from such a line.

However, it does take a bit more effort to completely rinse from my hair, I’ve found. Maybe it’s because my hair is rather fine, but I’ve found my hair seems a bit more weighed down or prone to greasiness after I use these products.
