Despite not having a ton of time to read this month, I managed to get through eight interesting reads. Brett and my wedding was September 14, so I relied a lot on audiobooks that I listened to while getting stuff ready for the big day. I loved a couple of the books I read this month, but definitely had a few disappointments, too. Read on for my reviews to see what you should add to your TBR!
Everything I read in August, including Emily Henry’s People We Meet on Vacation, Lady MacBeth by Ava Reid, and The Hunted Heir by Holly Renee.
Everything I read in July, including Normal People by Sally Rooney, The Cliffs by J. Courtney Sullivan, and the Jacobite Chronicles from Julia Brennan, and more. Read the book reviews here:
June was a slower month for me, reading-wise, but a few of the books I did read this month stand out as real winners, including Husbands & Lovers by Beatriz Williams and The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo. Read on for my reviews of each:
April was a big month for me in terms of reading because this was the month I discovered the magic of Emily Henry’s books. I read three of her books this month, including her newest release, Funny Story. Besides these highly emotional contemporary romances, I enjoyed a variety of historical fiction and even dabbled into psychology non-fiction in the form of Toxic Positivity by Whitney Goodman. So, here’s what I thought of everything I read in April!
Everything I read in March, from cowboy romances including Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage to a new fantasy series from Holly Renee called The Veiled Kingdom!
February was a varied month for me when it comes to what I read. Starting out strong with the new Crescent City book and closing it out with a less-than-stellar ACOTAR audiobook production, the books in between spanned genres and interests. I didn’t finish one book, but it was so boring it’s not worth mentioning here. Overall, I would recommend all of the books listed below for your TBR!
Everything I read in January, with moving reads from Rebecca Ross’ Ruthless Vows to intriguing alternate realities like in American Royals by Katherine McGee.
The best books of the month, featuring the start of Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments, part two of the These Violent Delights Duet by Chloe Gong, & more:
