Current Favorite TikToks and Reels
Though I don’t have too much interest in creating highly-designed videos myself at this point, I have found a certain amount of escapism in TikTok and IG Reels lately. While I appreciate informative ones, I am gravitating towards the funny, the cute, and the simply entertaining. As such, I thought I’d share some of my favorite TikToks by category, starting here with Cute Animal TikToks. Enjoy!
Cute Animal TikToks
Cute animal videos are some of my favorite TikToks for sure. As the internet was built on cats, it’s hardly surprising that cute cat and dog videos do so well on the app and with IG Reels. Here are some of my favorites:
Honorable Mention: Tika the Iggy
I pretty much credit Tika the Iggy for really pulling me into animal TikTok in the first place. The video here is the original one of hers I found, but she has a few others in the same style that never fail to make me laugh-cry (like this one where she is super relatable about picking outfits, this one where she tries to reinvent herself, and this one where she didn’t appreciate the pandemic).

The Best Cute Puppies on TikTok
While I am a cat lady at heart (#catmomlife), I love a cute dog video as much as the next person. Especially if the dog has floppy ears or is a small puffy Pomeranian. Double points if they’re uncoordinated puppies or have attitude. Here are a few of my favorite dog videos I’ve come across:

The Best Dramatic Cats on TikTok
Dramatic cats thrive online. As the humom of three particularly dramatic felines, I really appreciate the humor that other pet owners overlay onto their daily adventures with their fur babies.
Like with Tika above, this first video here was one of the first that really sent me down the animal TikTok/Reels rabbit hole. I can’t not laugh watching this video. Anyone who has experienced kitten hood probably has a similar experience — I know I sure do!
