3 Daughters Brewing in St. Pete

About 3 Daughters Brewing

A staple from the Tampa-St.Pete area, 3 Daughters Brewing makes delicious beer and pairs them with a great brewery atmosphere in their taproom. 3 Daughters opened in December 2013 and has grown to become one of the largest independent Florida breweries. With a laid back and almost-tropical vibe, it’s easy to see why the St. Pete tap room is so popular. Whether you’re going to catch up with a friend, show off the area to visiting relatives, or just as a chill date night out, 3 Daughters is a great option for us Florida craft beer lovers!

What to Expect at the Tap Room

The 3 Daughters St. Pete tap room is a cool, laid back spot. It’s pretty family friendly, too! There is a fully indoor bar area with AC and games you can borrow. The tables are also all covered with game boards, which were evidently made by the 3 Daughters’ owner’s father! The rest of the tap room space is an open-air (but covered) warehouse space and patio space, where they host live music and have a second bar and food counter.

In writing this brewery guide, I came across some interesting facts about the tap room space on their website. First and foremost, “[the] building was built to load rail cars – if you look at the ground in the outdoor picnic table area, you will see the markings from the railroad tracks we removed”! It is always so cool to learn about the history of places like this — be sure to check out more fun facts about the 3 Daughters St. Pete taproom here.

The Beers at 3 Daughters

This brewery has a wide range of styles, with a handful of year-round beers and a bunch of rotating seasonal brews. Chances are, if you’re at all interested in the Florida craft beer scene, you’ve seen a few of their beers out and about around the state.

The Beach Blonde Ale is one of my favorite beers from 3 Daughters. It can typically be found all through the state. Their tap room beers tend to rotate a lot, so you can see what they have on tap at any given time here. As I write this, I see they have a fig hard cider and a chai cider that both sound really intriguing!

Besides ciders and blonde ales, though, 3 Daughters generally have some great IPAs on tap. So, I tend to try those before I make a final pick! They’ve had the Florida Orange IPA for a bit now, which is a great option if you like fruitier IPAs.

The 3 Daughters Brewing Food Menu

Last but not least, 3 Daughters has some great brewery food! From appetizers to burgers, tacos to salads, there are great snacking options, sharable plates, and full meals. The soft baked pretzel is a great sharable, and it comes with cider mustard which is really good. The rosemary hummus is a nice option if you want something lighter.

There aren’t a ton of vegetarian or pescatarian options, truth be told. However, I always manage to find something tasty for myself. Since I eat fish, I tend to go for a salad with shrimp added or the veggie tacos (pictured above) with a side order of shrimp. Also, the black bean burger is a great option for vegetarians. Just a warning, though, the crispy jalapeños, while absolutely delicious, are quite spicy. I might have had a particularly potent batch, but my lips were tingling for a while after.
