Picking Decorations for My Bridal Shower
I had the most amazing bridal shower at The Library restaurant in St. Pete, Florida, in early July. The benefits of having the shower at The Library extended beyond the great food to the gorgeous space. Still, even with all the great design and decor in the restaurant, we wanted to personalize the shower a bit more. So, my maid of honor helped me find some amazing bridal shower decor pieces to elevate the day, highlighting my wedding colors with emerald green. Here, I wanted to share the simple-yet-beautiful pieces we brought to decorate for my bridal shower:

My Bridal Shower Decor
As I mentioned, The Library is already a beautiful space, full of dark wood accents, bookshelves full of coordinating blue books, and great art. For the party, we knew we would have one or two long dark wood tables. So, we decided to add a table runner, some candle votives, and fresh flowers in coordinating vases.
For the bridal shower, we (or, rather, my amazing maid of honor) brought the table runner, candle votives, battery operated candles, and vases filled with fresh flowers. I spoke with the event coordinator for the restaurant before hand to get details on what we could bring (yes to flowers, no to real candles not in votives, etc.). They were very easy to work with and amenable to our decor ideas.

Table Runner
For the table runner, I turned to Etsy and was not disappointed. I found this gorgeous linen Lily of the Valley option and wound up ordering two to suit the table dimensions. The price was fair, and the quality and shipping speed exceeded my expectations. The Etsy shop even sent a couple freebies, including a matching napkin and a little jewelry pouch, with both orders.
Candle Votives & Flameless Candles
We found these great Green Votive Candle Sets on Amazon and I was super impressed with the quality and colors. They shipped fast and are even better greens in real life than they were on the product listing. I ordered a few of these sets and wound up using two of the votive sets for the bridal shower.
For flameless candles, I found this super-realistic set first, which fit the larger candle jars in the votive set. For the smaller jars, I was happy with this set of small flameless candles — they were a great price and quantity with good battery life.
Vases
My maid of honor put the flowers together for my bridal shower and they are a nod to the flowers we intend to have at our wedding. To hold the flowers, we used two styles of vase. First, we had three of these Vintage Green Glass Vase from Amazon. Second, we actually used three of these gorgeous Highball Glass Drinking Glasses that my maid of honor had given me as a Christmas present last year. My set of drinking glasses are a dark green, but they’re currently available in a pretty sea foam green (pictured in collage above).
