Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale
Each year, Nordstrom throws an awesome anniversary party that with a huge sale. You’ve likely seen something about this already on Instagram; it’s pretty popular. This annual sale has become quite the phenomenon over the last few years, with deals on a ton of great items throughout the store.
The date when you can start shopping the sale is determined by your Nordstrom cardholder status. This is, in turn, based on the amount you purchase from the store annually (or whether you have a credit card with them). This year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially kicked off July 12, with early access for Icon members. You can see what level you qualify for by clicking “The Nordy Club” in your Nordstrom account. If you’re not a cardholder or Icon level shopper, the sale is officially open to everyone starting July 28. It runs through August 8.
Access dates based on Nordy Club level are as follows:

Top Picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
For my picks, I have capped the price of each piece at $100.
Clothing
I have to be honest…I wasn’t super impressed with the clothing selections. Many of the best deals are on sweaters and winter wear; there was far less to choose from in the way of summery options.
That being said, the strengths of the clothing side of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale come in the way of their athletic options (I need this ALO top), as well as their staple pieces like jeans and t-shirts. I like to use sales like these to stock up on such staple pieces — tanks, jeans, bras, and so on — so it is worth digging through if you’re feeling similarly.
Everyday Style
As for everyday style, I am most drawn to Free People and Madewell pieces at the sub-$100 price point in the sale. The teal floral version of the Free People Clare Tee is on my wishlist, as is this Swiss Dot V-Neck from Madewell.
Athleisure, Yoga Outfits, & Workout
As I mentioned earlier, I was pretty impressed with the amount of athletic clothing available in the sale. Lately, I’ve been really into ALO yoga clothes, so I have my eye on a few of their pieces, particularly the Cover Tank and long-line Real Sports Bra. Besides ALO, though, there are a bunch of great Sweaty Betty options under $100, like these pocket leggings and this crop top sports bra, along with Beyond Yoga.
Jewelry & Accessories
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale really started to shine with their jewelry and accessories. For this category, there are a lot of great jewelry options under $50. That being said, purses and wallets really only become available in the $50 to $100 price point. That being said, there are some great options in the latter half of that bracket, including my favorite daily carry backpack from Longchamp (also available in a mini option).
I wasn’t exactly in the market for a new purse. However, the great Kate Spade wallet options reminded me that I could use a refresh in that department. This pebbled leather wallet is a great option at $65 and comes in a few colors. I like the black leather with cream accents, personally, but am also drawn in by the pink!
Shoes
Like with clothing, I found that the majority of the shoes on sale were more winter focused. Lots of closed toe and boot options. The best finds, in my opinion, were these Hunter rain boots and these cute AllSaints slides. If you’re looking to stock up on such styles for the upcoming seasons, then this is a great opportunity. If you were looking to refresh your summer sandals, your choices are a bit more limited.
Like with my other categories here, I have capped my picks at $100. This category may be worth looking at higher price points, if you’re looking for nice boots, since there are a ton of options from brands like Frye, UGG, Stuart Weitzman, and Tory Burch.
Beauty
The most impressive department in my opinion, the beauty section of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is full of great deals. I was particularly impressed with the hair care sets, including a few from Moroccan Oil (especially this hydrating set), Olaplex, and Caviar (my favorite), all under $100.
Besides hair, there are great perfume sets available for under $100, including my favorite Chloe, as well as makeup and skin care bundles. As far as skin care bundles, this full size Mario Badescu trio and this Supergoop! 40 SPF set are the clear winners for me.
Home
There are a bunch of art prints available with the Anniversary Sale, and it kind of makes looking for non-wall art related items super difficult. However, pushing through is worth it for deals on favorites like Hydroflasks and Voluspa candles.
There are lots of cute cutting boards available under $25, which would make great housewarming gifts, and candle sets for under $50. The fan favorite, though, I would think would be these White Paw dog toys. So fun!
