Trying Out the Miami Beach Bum Ski Bum Face Cream
When I read the description for Miami Beach Bum’s water based moisturizer, the Ski Bum Face Cream, I knew I had to try it. Described as “A deeply-hydrating face cream for dry or stressed-out skin,” this moisturizer sounded perfect for my sensitive, acne-prone skin. Ingredients in the Face Cream
The Ski Bum Face Cream features skincare super ingredients like hyaluronic acid, squalane, and vitamins A and C to restore and protect the skin barrier. It also has calendula, an ingredient known for it’s soothing and calming properties, which help reduce redness. Lastly, basil and mint help cleanse and tighten pores.

How to Use the Ski Bum Face Cream
As a Once or Twice-Daily Moisturizer
A little goes a long way with this product! You’ll only need a dime or so sized amount of the cream moisturizer to cover your face and neck. The Ski Bum Face Cream is suitable for both morning and night. Be sure remember to put it on before SPF if you wear it in the AM!
As a Hydrating Treatment
Besides as a daily moisturizer, Ski Bum can be used as a luxurious hydrating treatment to counteract travel or weather stressors. Lather the face cream and layer it on your face and neck throughout the day to restore dry, stressed skin. Since it dries cleanly (more on that below), it’s easy to layer and won’t make you shiny or greasy.
What I Thought of the Ski Bum Face Cream
When I got this face cream to try, my skin just so happened to be…well, stressed. So, based on the product description, I figured it was the best time to try it out.
The thick, lightly-scented cream goes on smoothly and dries cleanly. There is no sticky, shiny residue after application, so I can totally see how you could use it in the morning under your SPF and other makeup. I had a few healing acne patches which tingled a little when I first applied the face cream, but they quickly settled down. In fact, I noticed a reduction in redness over the next hour or so, as well!
When I say a little goes a long way, I mean it. I used probably twice the amount recommended (I was too excited to try it out, I didn’t read the recommended dime size amount listed online until after) and had lots left over. It’s not the worst problem to have, though, because it is a lovely moisturizer all over so I just used the rest on my neck, chest, and hands.
