The Best Wedding Guest Dresses for Summer
Summer wedding season is upon us. Figuring out what to wear as a wedding guest can be a little complicated. In my opinion, the best summer wedding guest dress options are versatile and can be dressed up or down, depending on the dress code of the occasion. Since summer weddings seem to tend to be a bit more casual, I’ve focused on more lightweight styles. Dress them up with a pair of dress heels or embrace a garden party vibe with my new favorite wedges from Sarah Flint. For your convenience, I’ve split up my summer wedding guest dress choices into two categories: solid colors and florals.
Solid Color Dresses
I am loving how many textured-yet-solid color dress options there are out there. Whether you want a flat fabric or something with a bit of volume, these styles are classic, feminine, and flattering. I particularly love the Aquiline Tiered Ruffled Maxi Dress and the color block Camden Dress (available in a couple colors). The former is a gorgeous green, perfect for summer. The latter offers multiple textures in a unique silhouette.

The top block of solid color dresses are, on the whole, a bit dressier than the styles I have listed below here. The Scrunchie Strap Maxi Dress really inspired this post, as I have purchased this dress to wear to an upcoming summer wedding. It’s available in a few colors, but sizing is limited, so don’t wait on that one!

Patterned & Floral Dresses
Florals are ubiquitous for spring and summer, and for good reason. My choices here really run from daytime casual to evening and formal. My favorites overall are the Gavin Floral Print Dress (top right of first block) and the Marcella Flower Dress (in the second block below). Both are such lovely, classic silhouettes and I think I, personally, would get a lot of wear out of either of them!

Bottom Row: Angel Sleeve Wrap Midi Dress | Reef A-Line Cami Dress | Primrose Maxi Dress | Raphaela Almona Floral Print
Overall, I was really drawn to the Ralph Lauren options from Bloomingdale’s, like this Floral Georgette Maxi Dress and this Floral Chiffon Gown. Both are under $250 and feature lovely patterns in classic silhouettes. For a more casual option, I really love the fun sleeves and skirt on The Raena Dress from Christy Dawn. I think it’d look so lovely with the Sarah Flint wedges I mentioned earlier!
