Miami Beach Bum’s Totally Buggin’
Pesky mosquitos are a year-round issue here in Florida. Insect repellents can be so harsh on the skin, with an unpleasant scent to top it off, so I was thrilled to try Miami Beach Bum’s Totally Buggin’ natural insect repellent. This DEET-free formula is full of all-natural ingredients, specially formulated to effectively repel bugs without irritating your skin.
Totally Buggin’s Ingredients
This all-natural inspect repellent is made with a base of fast absorbing and non-comedogenic sunflower oil, combined with citronella, lemongrass, and rosemary. Together, the sunflower oil and herb blend moisturize the skin and protect from environmental stressors, all while naturally repelling mosquitos and insects.
Beyond the three primary herbs listed above, the bug spray also includes tea tree oil, peppermint, rosemary, and eucalyptus oils. The combination means the spray has a lovely citrusy herbal scent.
How to Use Miami Beach Bum’s Totally Buggin’ Spray
Unlike traditional insect repellent sprays, the Totally Buggin’ spray doesn’t cause a cloud of smelly particulates. To apply, spray the Totally Buggin’ spray liberally over any exposed skin. For the face, it is easiest to spray a bit into your hands and then apply like you would a moisturizer. The same method of spraying into the hand to apply is recommended for use on children and pets, as well.
The spray is designed to last approximately two hours, so be sure to reapply after a couple hours if you’re still out and about!
What I Thought of the Totally Buggin’ Insect Repellent
As I mentioned above, traditional bug sprays tend to irritate my skin, and the smell can be really noxious. Neither of these things are an issue with this Miami Beach Bum spray, though.
I found that the spray was easy to apply and spread, almost like you would a facial oil or moisturizer. A little goes a long way, so I only needed a few sprays per arm or leg at a time. It was a real lifesaver for handing out candy on Halloween this year! I applied the spray a few minutes before going out and didn’t notice any bug bites after having been out in our front yard for about an hour or so.
