Current Loves: 2nd Edition

Welcome back to the Cats & Coffee Current Loves series. Let’s dive right in:

Splendid’s Sunset Tie-Dye Cropped Tee and Tank Top

This t-shirt fabric is absolutely amazing — buttery soft without being too clingy. I tried the reversible tank top version and I think I’ll go back for it. The cropped tee (which doesn’t look super cropped) has everything that I liked in the tank with a different neckline. The tee is only available at Bloomingdale’s. The tank is available at Bloomingdale’s and the brand’s website.

Macrobarista on Instagram

I will always love my regular iced coffee order from Starbucks, but, from time to time, its good to mix things up. Before I found this instagram account, I didn’t stray far from the usual. I’ve always liked Starbucks’ fancy seasonal drinks and the like, but I know how hooked on them I can get, so I rarely let myself order them. This instagram, though, has different lower-cal, lower-sugar options that mimic the specialty drinks. Even if I don’t follow the recipes to a T, it’s been interesting to see the different types of syrups and things they even have to offer. Anything with the toffee nut syrup is fantastic. Seriously.

Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil

So far, I really haven’t met a facial oil that I haven’t liked. This Biossance product is no exception. I decided to take the plunge and order a bottle of the Rose Oil because of a coupon code I found on instagram (thanks Julia Engel). This product promises to visibly even and brighten skin with stable vitamin C. It is vegan, cruelty free, non-toxic, paraben free, free of synthetic fragrances, and PEG free So far, it’s great. There aren’t any harsh scents and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. The oil seems to absorb easily and feels great on my hands, as well as my face. Currently, Biossance has a limited edition Antique Rose bottle, if you’re interested. It is quite pretty.

Audible

I’m back on my Audible kick, after having put my account on hold for a few months. I had accumulated a number of credits, and wanted to catch up on those without paying the monthly fee for a bit. Now that I’m back to my monthly credit system, and since I finished up the audio books I had already purchased, I’m on to new volumes. Currently, I’m listening to the Late Middle Ages from the Great Courses series. I listen to a lecture or two on days with longer car rides. Check Audible out for yourself here.
