As summer winds down, stores are starting to introduce their fall styles. Here are the early fall style finds that caught my eye!
As a devoted admirer of Mary Stuart, I hold historical fiction about Mary’s life to high standards. I am pleased to say that The Tower by Flora Carr met — and exceeded — those expectations. Read my full book review here:
April was a big month for me in terms of reading because this was the month I discovered the magic of Emily Henry’s books. I read three of her books this month, including her newest release, Funny Story. Besides these highly emotional contemporary romances, I enjoyed a variety of historical fiction and even dabbled into psychology non-fiction in the form of Toxic Positivity by Whitney Goodman. So, here’s what I thought of everything I read in April!
Funny Story by Emily Henry is a top-notch opposites-attract romance full of the witty banter and emotional nuance the author is known for. Read on for my thoughts on the novel, along with my favorite quotes from the book!
Cats can be pretty anxious little creatures. Or, if they’re not anxious, they can be pretty…well…catty. Learn how we keep cat fights and catitude in check and keep the cats calm for travel and vet visits with Feliway Pheromone Products!
Right from the prologue, this book drew me in and held my attention close. “When books are your life…,” it starts out, “you get pretty good at guessing where a story is going.” Still, though, Book Lovers by Emily Henry managed to surprise me, with plenty of emotional and evocative twists and turns throughout its pages. Full of witty banter and poignant moments, Book Lovers is a must-read for any…well…book lover.
Everything I read in March, from cowboy romances including Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage to a new fantasy series from Holly Renee called The Veiled Kingdom!
February was a varied month for me when it comes to what I read. Starting out strong with the new Crescent City book and closing it out with a less-than-stellar ACOTAR audiobook production, the books in between spanned genres and interests. I didn’t finish one book, but it was so boring it’s not worth mentioning here. Overall, I would recommend all of the books listed below for your TBR!
