Whether you’re in the sunny south or in a region that actually experiences full blown fall, we can all use some casual fall outfit inspiration.
While Florida is perpetually summery, shifting my wardrobe from summer pieces to fall ones is always a fun transition. Fall weather means softer, earthier colors. While I do try to wear my favorite jean shorts throughout the seasons, I tend to switch to jeans and the like for evenings.
Casual Fall Outfit Inspiration
This fall, I’m really loving contrasting colors, particularly a soft floral pink and deep green (always a favorite of mine). I love a nice white tee, but I’m really drawn to creamier neutrals right now, like the ones pictured below. Plus, there are a ton of great vintage-esque t-shirts out right now that are calling my name.
As for shoes, changing weather tends to mean fewer flip flop days, even in Florida. Soludos espadrilles are a great seasonal transition piece. They retain the sunny summer vibe while giving you a closed-toe casual option. It’s never a bad idea to have a pair of cute little rain boots on hand, either, in case the weather turns.
Don’t Forget the Accessories
Besides the more practical pieces, I’m just generally loving the cute sparkly hair pieces that are popular right now. While I don’t wax nostalgic for the butterfly hair clips of my youth — I equate them with growing out childhood bangs, which was a rough period of time — I do hate having my hair in my face. And since I’m really attached to my long hair, sparkly clips and the like are a great and simple solution.
As for jewelry, when I go with a more casual jeans-and-tee outfit, I find it fun to accessorize with bigger earrings. The hoops pictured below are a great color and also come in silver. The brand — 8 Other Reasons — is one of my absolute go-tos for statement earrings (like the star and moon set I’m wearing here). Great prices, styles, and quality.
