Creating a Cozy Home Library
Having a cozy home library space has always been a goal of mine. With our new house, my office has become my personal at home library: part workspace, part reading room full of cozy colors and keepsake details. I’m always looking for more ways to decorate or organize the space, whether that’s with bookshelf decor, wall art, or so on. Here, I’m sharing a handful of lovely objects you can use to create a cozy home library retreat of your own!

Cozy Home Library Design
Whether you have light or dark walls (I have dark green), the pieces I’ve picked to create a cozy home library suit either vibe. I like rich colors and textures, like these Metallic Catch All Tray below or these gallery wall prints. Mixing these types of materials and motifs creates an eclectic atmosphere, which is well suited to a cozy home library. Furthermore, having a mix of textures and designs makes it easy to add to your home library in the future!

Bottom Row: Lady Lyre Bust Statue (sold out, similar style here) | The Library Soy Candle | Moody Dark Flowers Wall Plaque (sold out, similar style here)
As far as organization goes, the Tree Bookends in the image above have been very helpful for my home library. While the focus of this post is on decor, these bookends work both as a design and a practical element. I have two sets of them for my office bookshelves. They are a huge help in organizing the space. This is particularly true with the heirlooms and trinkets I’ve chosen to display.

Bottom Row: LED Hanging Plant Shelves | Bookish Gallery Wall Prints (sold out, similar style here) | One More Chapter Pillow
Beyond bookshelf decor, there are lots of great options for wall art and design. These collections of gallery wall prints are a great option if you’re looking for a one-and-done wall art option. Pair them with some shelves like these, if you’d like, for a mixed media approach (use these fun fantasy book inspired finds to fill out those shelves!). Relatedly, for a more textured approach, these faux flower LED Hanging Plant Shelves have caught my eye. Plus, they’re useful as a soft lighting source for your reading room, as well!
