Coastal Home Decor Ideas
Featuring a light-filled atmosphere and fresh textures, there are many ways to use coastal decor ideas in your home. By pulling in ocean and beach-themed tones, along with natural textures, coastal home decor can be both tactile and serene. By embracing the bright and breezy, coastal decor uses different textures and touches to balance any tonal contrasts. If you aren’t ready to take the plunge on built-in paneling or the like, don’t worry. You can still use this theme with your existing decor. By using small details, often in blue and white tones, it is fairly easy to evoke a coastal theme in your space.

Coastal Design Without the Kitschy Decor
This particular round up focuses on a more modern coastal design. Featuring more muted themes with pops of color and texture, I wanted to show that coastal home decor could be more subtle than you might expect. My goal is to curate products that, borrowing My Domaine’s phrase, “feel like the beach.”

Of course, if you were so inclined, you could embrace the pure coastal theme with these unique Framed Nautical Flags or Boat Cleat Nautical Hooks! And don’t feel tied to the blue and white motif (see, e.g., the pink couches here!). It’s true that this is a traditional color palette for the coastal theme. However, never hesitate to make your space truly your own, with hints of other favorite colors.
