My Monthly Chewy Order

What Is In My Monthly Chewy Order

One of my most important Cat Mom Life tasks every four weeks is my monthly Chewy order! I love ordering from Chewy for all of our cat supplies, thanks to the fast shipping, great deals, and broad range of foods, treats, and general pet necessities. As a Chewy devotee, I thought I’d share what is in my monthly Chewy order for Louis, Olivia, and Emory!

Cat Food & Supplies I Order Each Month

Of course, some months have additional little items added in (generally toys or special treats), and some months have fewer if we’ve not managed to go through a whole bag of kibble in the interim (unlikely, as it’s Emory’s favorite, but it can happen). However, these are the staples I regularly need to keep the cats happy and healthy. So, read on for the Cat Mom Life necessities in my monthly Chewy order!

Kibbles & Wet Foods

My Monthly Chewy Order Kibble & Wet Food

Now Fresh Grain-Free Adult Recipe Dry Cat Food

First and foremost is the cats’ primary kibble order. As for kibble, my cats have been on the Now Fresh Grain-Free Adult Recipe Dry Cat Food for as long as I can remember. They never get bored of it. This fan favorite cat food is made without meat meals or by-products and is full of necessary fatty acids and quality protein content. Turkey is the primary protein in this kibble, followed by salmon and duck. The recipe also features pumpkin to support healthy digestion.

Wysong Uretic Dry Cat Food

Because the Now Fresh kibble is a bit on the pricier side (but worth every penny!), I like to pick up a bag of Wysong Uretic Dry Cat Food kibble to mix into their kibble bowls. The Wysong option is more affordable at about $15-$16 for a 5 lb bag. This formula is good for cats who are prone to kidney issues or UTIs (like Olivia used to be). Regardless of urinary health history, the Uretic kibble is a generally well-formulated kibble that promotes immune health alongside urinary health.

Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Cuties Variety Pack Grain-Free Canned Cat Food

Wet food is helpful in promoting hydration in cats, among other things. Weruva is my favorite brand of wet food for cats, as the brand is devoted to promoting general hydration as well as digestive and urinary health. Weruva’s Cats in the Kitchen Cuties Variety Pack is a great wet food option. This line offers your cat diversity in flavors while still ensuring they get all the essential nutrients they need. I get the bigger cans and mix them into a Tupperware with the cats’ supplements (described below). Then, I spoon it out from there over the course of a couple days. A 10 oz can will typically last me about three to four mealtimes for the cats, give or take.

Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Variety Pack Grain-Free Cat Food Pouches

The Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Pouches are one of my semi-monthly must-order items, as we tend to go through them more slowly. However, I like the product so much that I felt it merited a spot in this monthly Chewy order list. Weruva’s Cats in the Kitchen Variety Pack Pouches are super handy to keep around, especially if your cat likes wet food but can get bored without some extra variety in their diet. I mix one of these in the Tupperware of wet food I described above to add some more water and flavor to the cats’ food. Sometimes, I use it for the cats as a stand-alone meal. The pouches are convenient and easy-to-open, contain lots of protein and hydration, and are packed with the necessary vitamins cats need for optimal health.

Cat Health Supplements

Cat Health Supplements

ProDen PlaqueOff Powder Cat Supplement

A dental health supplement for pets, ProDen PlaqueOff Powder is a natural product made from seaweed and brewer’s yeast. The seaweed and brewer’s yeast combine systematically prevent plaque and tartar deposits from sticking to the teeth. The ProDen PlaqueOff ingredients work through the saliva to breakdown existing buildup, as well. It comes in a little bottle with a convenient spoon so you can sprinkle the powder on top of wet food. I mix it into the wet food mixture I described above.

Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets FortiFlora Powder Digestive Supplement for Cats

Purina’s FortiFlora is a highly-researched probiotic supplement is another staple for my cats’ wet food mix. Specially formulated to promote normal intestinal microflora and a strong immune system, this easy-to-use digestive supplement is convenient, tasty for cats, and great for all stages of life.

Nutramax Cosequin Capsules with Glucosamine & Chondroitin

Since Louis had a broken leg as a kitten, vets have regularly recommended that I give him glucosamine supplements to promote bone health. I’ve tried a few brands, but Nutramax Cosequin Capsules have worked the best for me. Capsules are easy to open and mix into wet food or treats (like the Hartz Delectables Lickable Cat Treats described below). The cats don’t seem to notice any difference in flavor. The glucosamine and chondroitin together support healthy cartilage, and they are suitable for any adult or senior cat. All three of my cats get them!

Cat Treats

My Monthly Chewy Order Treats

Hartz Delectables Stew Variety Pack Lickable Cat Treats

Kind of like the Weruva pouches, the Hartz Delectables Lickable Cat Treats are a handy item to keep around. Designed to be used as a stand-alone snack or as a food topper, these little pouches are a good mix of protein and hydration. Plus, they contain extra vitamins to support cat health. Louis is nine, and since I figured that Emory and Olivia wouldn’t mind extra vitamins, I get the senior packs, which contain extra vitamin E and B. These pouches are great for giving my cats powdered pills, or for their Glucosamine supplement (described above), as they are easy to mix!

Inaba Churu Tuna & Chicken Puree Variety Pack Grain-Free Lickable Cat Treat

Last but not least are some of my cats’ all time favorite treats: Inaba Churu lickable treats. As far as my monthly Chewy order goes, I get this variety pack probably every other month, but it’s definitely a necessity! Low calorie and made with high-quality proteins, these lickable treats are a great cat snack (or a clever way to disguise medicine and supplements!). The treats contain taurine, which support overall feline health, and are grain-free. This variety pack has both tuna and chicken varieties. However, you can opt for one or the other if your furbaby is particular about their proteins!
