Soft Nail Colors for September

As the seasons change, soft grays, pinks, and burnt oranges are great transitional colors. Even if you’re in a place where the leaves don’t change — like me, here in Florida — swapping to one of these lighter earth tones can help you get in the autumnal spirit. Personally, the Essie Caught in the Rain is calling my name. It’s a rich gray-based teal that is both subtle but unique. For a more traditional fall motif, the OPI I Micha Be Dreaming is a great option. For a bolder color, though, try Essie’s Paintbrush It Off, a warm neutral tan that will transition well from hot to cooler days.

Earth Jewel Tones for Early Fall

I’ve always been a fan of darker polishes. Luckily, the are plenty of nail colors for September that fit that bill. Here are a few of my favorites, including a handful of subtly shimmery OPIs. OPI <3 DTLA, for example, is a great purple-based polish to carry you through from spring to fall. Essie Wink of Sleep, on the other hand, is a great option for an even bolder purple. If you’re interested in sticking with the changing leaves motif, though, I’d direct you to the bottom row of polishes below: Essie Off the Grid, OPI Clay Dreaming, and OPI Endless Sun-ner. These three colors mimic changing leaves in unique and flattering ways!
