Great Women’s Madewell Pieces at Nordstrom
Nordstrom typically has a great selection of women’s clothing. Since we don’t have a Madewell store near us in Boca, I was pretty excited when I realized Nordstrom was carrying a limited line of their clothes. Nordstrom’s selection of women’s Madewell styles is especially awesome right now. Here’s what I’m coveting from their selection:
Tops, Tees, and Sweaters
Northside Vintage Tee
I have this tee in a couple colors and love it. It is so affordable — just $16! — and versatile. If you want a tighter fit, go with your usual size. If you want a looser fit, though, definitely size up. I want to get the British Surplus green color, but the black and white are calling my name as staple tees.
Bobble Cardigan Sweater
I love a great, cozy sweater, and this Bobble Cardigan Sweater is checking all the boxes for me. It comes in two colors, but this rosy Vintage Quartz is my favorite. Even though I don’t generally gravitate towards pinks, this rose is really lovely.
Placed Stripe Allister Pullover Sweater
Who doesn’t love a super cozy sweater? I was totally drawn in by the product description for this top: “Made of signature Coziest Yarn, this striped sweater is kitten-on-a-cloud soft (so you can wear it sans shirt).” Sounds pretty much perfect to me!
Easy Crop Pocket Tee
I’m obsessed with this shirt. I was obsessed even before I realized it had little kitty cat faces on it! This slightly-cropped tee is boxy yet flattering. It’s easy to wear and style. Plus, I’ve found it washes quite well and maintains its structure even after a few rounds in the washing machine. I recommend sizing up in this top.
Bayside Stripe Central Drapey Shirt
Madewell’s Central Drapey Shirts are great for daily wear. I have an olive green one which is so versatile, I use it all the time. Effortless and cool, this striped shirt features a slightly oversized yet classic fit. Definitely size down in this style, though, as it runs rather large. I sized down and doing so maintained the loose silhouette while fitting my shoulders better.
Jeans and Shorts
Inspired by the classic ’40s-era utility pants, these camp shorts have updated details like a comfy elastic waist and stitched patch pockets in back. I’d be eager to try this style on. I love the color and silhouette, but am not positive how they’d fit. The kale color is really calling my name, though, and I love the large pockets. These would be great for spring and summer!
9-Inch Torn Knee Skinny Jeans
I’m really loving raw-hemmed jeans lately. I have a pair of gray raw hemmed jeans and get so much use out of them. This pair of skinny jeans is a lovely, rich blue color. Smooth in fit yet edgy in attitude, these soft and stretchy Italian-denim skinny jeans have shredded knees and torn, ankle-flashing hems.
High Rise Cuffed Denim Shorts
I pretty much live in denim shorts. While most of my favorite pairs are from J.Crew, I’m slowly migrating to the women’s Madewell jean shorts. I like the variety of colors that Madewell has, and they fit pretty well. These high-rise denim shorts have rips and cuffed hems. They’re a comfy, casual addition to your summer weekend rotation.
The Perfect Vintage Crop High Waist Jeans
I don’t usually go for lighter wash jeans, but there are a handful of great women’s Madewell styles available right now. With a mildly distressed style, these high-waisted jeans are simple but not boring. They’re a little pricy at $128, but could be great staple jeans.
Jewelry and Accessories
Acetate Disc Statement Earrings
Madewell’s statement earrings have been totally calling my name lately. I have a couple pairs that I love. Actually, I wear them a lot more than I even expected to (here, for example)! These minimalist and modern dangly earrings feature pearlescent color-blocked discs swinging from thin goldtone rods. They’re available in two color motifs, but the pictured one here is my favorite!
Resin Octagonal Hoop Earrings
Like the Acetate Disc Statement Earrings, the Resin Octagonal Hoop Earrings are great statement pieces that can still be worn for day-to-day. Lightweight, but high impact, these geometric-shaped hoop earrings are a true statement to set off any look. Plus, they’re my favorite color. Win-win!
The Transport Camera Bag
I’ve been eyeing the Transport Camera Bags from Madewell for a little while now. I’m curious about whether it fits an actual camera, or if it’s just the style name. Either way, this would be a great shoulder bag for daily carry or a night out. This pattered strap adds a bit of design, while maintaining a clean black and white motif.
