Half Yearly Sale Finds
I love a good sale. Nordstrom is known for its many sales throughout the year. This time around, until June 2, Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale has styles up to 50% off. Time to stock up on staples, if you ask me!
Here are some of my favorites from the sale:
Something Navy, Easy Flirty Minidress ($29.49)
From the lifestyle brand, Something Navy, this little summer floral dress is made to carry you through the season. It looks to me like an upgraded t-shirt dress, with more structure and design. You could dress it up with heels or down with a jean jacket.
Madewell Stripe Peasant Top ($54.99)
Whenever I see a Nordstrom sale, Madewell is always the first brand I look for. This billowy peasant top is easily paired with chinos, jean shorts, or even a form fitting skirt.
Rag & Bone Destroyed Cutoff Denim Shorts ($105.00)
Rag & Bone jean shorts are expensive, but great summer staples. I recently purchased these in a darker wash (the pair I’m wearing here) because I loved the lighter ones so much.
A note on sizing, though — there’s no stretch so sizing up is a must.
La Vie Rebecca Taylor Adelle Floral Tie Detail Dress ($224.98)
I’ve been loving La Vie Rebecca Taylor lately — and just Rebecca Taylor generally (see below) — and this piece is no exception!
Simple yet detailed, this La Vie Rebecca Taylor dress is great for any summer event, from a summer wedding to an evening out. I love the varied hemline and how the gauzy fabric matches with the shoulder ties. I’m curious to try this one on, though, because I’m not sure how it would work on a petite frame.
Rebecca Taylor, Ivie Floral Tie Back Crop Top ($149.99)
How great are these colors!? Like all other Rebecca Taylor, I think these tops could be dressed up or down depending on the event. The subtle pleating on the shoulders adds volume to the top without making it over the top. An adjustable tie in the back makes it great for different body types, too, since you can adjust it as you like! I love how the red top looks with dark gray jeans here, but I think the dark blue option is my favorite. Better get both just incase.
AllSaints Bev Tee ($41.98)
I bought this t-shirt from Bloomingdale’s a few weeks ago for full price, but I love it so much I’m not even mad about it. AllSaints is one of my favorite brands and I am slowly accumulating a collection of their t-shirts. I had known of the brand before going to Scotland, but there is an absolutely giant store in Glasgow that really drew me in. Since then, it’s one of my go-to brands, especially for dresses.
This double-layered distressed tee is great, but a little heavy (since it is actually double layered), so its best with shorts for hot summer days. It’ll carry you through fall and into winter, though, as it layers so nicely!
Gal Meets Glam Shannon Pleat Neck Maxi Dress ($118.80)
FRAME Smocked Floral Print Minidress ($314.98)
FRAME can be pricy, but I am a big fan of their clothes (especially their tees). Across the board, I have found that their styles fit great, have great classic look, and are really high quality. I bet this dress is the same. It’s a simple style with subtle detailing both in the stitching and the fabric.
Free People Gotta Have You Tunic Top ($80)
Free People is a go-to summer brand for me. Most of their pieces just look like summer to me. This tunic mixes patterns in a fun way that I would never try on my own. Somehow, since it is all sewn together, it is a complete look. Plus, it’d be great as a cover up for a weekend beach trip.
Rebecca Taylor Ivie Off the Shoulder Embroidered Detail Linen Dress ($296.98)
Wedding season is coming up! The Nordstrom sale has a bunch of great summer wedding guest dress options. This Rebecca Taylor option really stood out to me as unique and wearable. You could definitely get a number of wears out of it throughout the season and into fall!
Barbour Cavalry Flyweight Quilt Jacket ($132.90)
I love Barbour. They have classic style with some contemporary accents. As much as I like living in Florida, I wish it gave me more opportunities to wear my jacket (oh well, just have to go back to Scotland!).
This quilted jacket comes in a few great colors, so you can go with something bright like the blue or something more traditional, like the olive. Sales like this are great opportunities to stock up on staples like this. After all, $132 is a great price for a quality Barbour jacket that will last you for forever.
P.S. Some of the items from my Nordstrom Spring Sale post are on sale again!
