Mascara is a simple yet powerful step in a makeup routine. I’ve found that, if I don’t feel like doing a lot of makeup, as long as I fill in my eyebrows and put on mascara, I feel polished and ready to go. A little makeup primer goes a long way, especially in summer humidity. I tested out the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer to see if it’d help with makeup longevity. It can sometimes feel pretty pointless to get dressed up and made up to sit at home. Even before social distancing, this was a question on my mind as I worked from home. However, there’s something to be said for keeping a bit of a routine and getting ready for the day so you feel good about yourself. This has been especially important to me, lately, with social distancing. I’ve found that, whether I’m inspired from boredom or want to perk myself up, doing a bit of makeup can really help. Lately, I’ve been rejuvenating my makeup collection. I’m swapping products that no longer work for me with those that are simple, easy to use, and effective. I don’t like wearing a full face of makeup often, so I generally stick to a tinted moisturizer, sunscreen, and a bit of powder for a typical day.
